Port St. Lucie - Six Morningside Academy students will be honored in a school assembly by local attorney Philip DeBerard on October 16^th at 8:30 am at Morningside Academy. The You Are One of A Kind Eagle Award’s recognize outstanding Morningside Academy students are part of a monthly student recognition program which is now in its 14^th year.

Eagle Award winners, with their proud parents watching, each will receive an engraved Bible and a certificate of accomplishment from attorney DeBerard in a ceremony in the school’s chapel. The award winning students for the months of September and October are:

The students were nominated by their teacher and all met specific criteria set forth by Philip DeBerard. The guiding principle of the You Are One of A Kind Eagle Award is recognition of students who have distinguished themselves through Christian witness, scholarship, leadership, and acts of service. These are students who soar above the crowd like an eagle through their commitment to Christ, strength of character, and service to others.

"It gives me great pleasure to witness the many contributitions these students make in their communities and schools," DeBerard said. "Their commitment to helping others and their dedication to serving their communities will ensure they grow up to become active and devoted citizens."
